Everybody needs friends! OYM has a few that we would like to introduce to you.
What the heck does “Culips” mean? “Culips” is not an English word that you can find in the dictionary! We created the name Culips from Culture and Language. CUL for culture and LIPS for language (we use our lips to talk). And so every Culips episode has interesting elements of culture as well as language; they are inseparable! We are here to help everyone learn more natural English with our ESL podcasts! We podcast from Montreal, Canada. We think it is really important, and fun, to learn English how it is really spoken. In addition to the podcasts, we have some great resources, called “Lipservice,” for each episode. This includes transcripts, detailed explanations and even quizzes to test your comprehension. You can also send your questions to us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and we will answer them for sure. We may even use them in one of our episodes!
Welcome to Iko! Excursions, where Friendly People make Friendly Excursions. We offer an alternative way to experience the province of Quebec, through day trips, in any season of the year! We offer a day trip program for language school students and everyday travellers in the Montreal area. Members of our excursion group come from all over the world: Mexico, Japan, South Korea, Brazil, Columbia, Taiwan, England, Europe, and pretty much anywhere else that you can think of. This makes us a very interesting way to meet friends from other countries, in a comfortable setting. The Iko! Philosophy We have 3 main beliefs that make us different. 1. Firstly, we believe that it is important to experience everything that Quebec has to offer, without taking too much time out of the week. 2. Secondly, we believe that one shouldn’t have to spend too much money to see the major sites of Quebec. 3. Finally, we strongly believe that friendly faces, and friendly people, make an excursion memorable and interesting. That is what makes us different from other excursion companies.
What is Coco Montreal? What is our goal? Our goal is to promote local community initiatives and cultural exchanges through a monthly paper and website based on grassroots activities. We welcome and encourage new participants all across the board to join our mission. What is Coco Montreal’s next step? We plan to increase French and English columns so more non-Japanese can read Coco Montreal. We are looking for writers in French or English, and translators as well. So if you are interested in joining us as writer, translator, or getting involved with our activities promoting cultural exchanges, contacts us.
